Call for Proposals

PyCon India 2009 is the first conference solely focussed on the Python language being held in India. It is an independent volunteer driven effort to popularise the Python language and to build the community around it.

We are starting small and holding a two day event at the CSA department of the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore on the 26 an 27 of September 2009.

It's an ideal opportunity to meet fellow Pythonistas and companies who are looking for Python programmers. We want this event to be a showcase for all things Python that are going on in India.

We are looking for proposals on all aspects of Python programming. We will accept a broad range of presentations, from reports on academic and commercial projects to tutorials and case studies. As long as the presentation is interesting and potentially useful to the Python community, it will be consideredf or inclusion in the conference.

The talks can be of at level. Anything from simple tutorials to complex presentations are welcome. It needn't be purely technical either. Talks on how you organised local Python events or helped out the community or perhaps how you got Python into your organisation are very much welcome. Remember. All things Python!

All the talks will be within 45-60 minutes. There will also be a dedicated Lightning Talk session for talks no longer than five minutes. The latter is ideal to present quick hacks and things you're working on. The former for more detailed presentations.

More information about the conference can be found from the conference website at http://in.pycon.com/2009
