Kivy - Python UI Library for Any Platform

Objective

Introduction to app development using kivy and building a publishable application for android.

Description

Session shall include instructions and information about:

1. Installing and setting up kivy
2. Building a simple 'hello world' app
3. Using a few useful features of kivy
4. Introduction to 'kv' language
5. Packaging a app for the android market

Requirements

Basic Python and comfortable with Linux

Speaker bio

I am a student of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Durgapur and have always been fascinated with python. Having used and built a working app using kivy and made available on the Play Store, (Link to the app in links) I believe kivy is a very powerful library and deserves more attention.
