Python the future of innovative technology?

by Nirman Dave (speaking)

Section
Embedded Python
Technical level
Beginner

Objective

An insight into understanding the applications of python!
After the talk, the audience would have a good understanding about its infinite amount of uses!!!

Description

I am Nirman Dave, I am 17 years old and have been invited as guest speaker to many local python groups. That include groups such as PyGuj, etc. I have worked on three main projects using python, which have been very successful. I will hence, be talking about these three projects and will make the audience realize why python is the future of innovative technology.Below are my projects that I will talk about and their details.

All these projects are done by me and are all my copyrights.

1) Snick : Its a programming language i made using python. Check these links for more about this project.

2) Antable : It is a project where i converted a piece of paper into a multi touch surface table. To do this, i did not use any touch sensors or stuffs. The idea was simple, when we touch the paper, a shadow of your finger is formed underneath the paper. A webcam is placed below the paper which recognizes the shadow of your finger and moves the cursor with it. To do this I created a software, using python.

3) Drive bud : It is a project where you can listen to songs using earbuds (the top part of earphones) and does not require you to have any music storing device such as a phone or PC. All you have to do is say the name of a song and it will be played. Not only that but, functions such as GPS, Information search, Phone calling, Texting can also be done. The operating system for this device is coded by me using python.
Links for this project will be online soon.

4) Benedict : Benedict is an artificial intelligence software. Yes, it's something similar to Siri and Cortana. But for PC! Not only that, Benedict supports multiple languages and colloquial terms! Benedict is currently under-construction. But you can follow its construction on GitHub!

Speaker bio

I am just 17 years old, I have done alot of extraordinary projects and i aspire to become the best in my own field. Apart from that, I am also a very good speaker and presenter. My work and my quality of speech has allowed me to excell in my field. Local universities (in Gujarat) such as Gardi, Mica, Nirma, LD Engineering college, Atmiya college and Christ college have invited me to speak about my projects and how i have worked on them. Not only that but I am also a part time professor at the Kansagra college in my town, where i teach python programming. My work, skill, and passion from programming (especially with python) makes me the most suitable person for this session.

There should some philosophy for programming language. I didn't got any philosophy behind this language.
--> Why need for this language ? Python itself is good then this one. If you are doing this for fun then it's good. I could not find any useful thing in this language even this seems much complected.

    Thanks for your interest arjun!

    1) The objective (philosophy) behind snick is that it is a suggestion based language. It will give you suggestions of FULL Codes which other languages dont.

    2) Plus it is the first language that allows you to build your base in computer programming. This language is aimed at novices and beginners. So that they understand what syntax and programming is. So when they move to more advanced languages such as python and java, they will find it more easier to understand

    3) And it is made for fun!

Hey, It's not about hurt you. At 17 you attempt for this it's appreciated :)

1.) Have you heard about Ipython. In terminal Ipython suggests syntax also Microsoft funded this project.
2.) I think that python is too much easy that anybody can do something on it. Snick seems much complex then python itself.
    3.) Agreed it's for fun.

Hey, i am not hurt :) and thanks for the appreciation.

    1) Snick may seem hard, however you can checkout its documentation in the link below. Dont read the the whole thing, just go about it, you will find its way more simpler.

    2) Afterall, it depends on your perspective. Today I may have built a not so good prog lang. But I am sure with your support and my continued efforts, I will create something awesome soon! :)

    Thank you for your interest...
