Objective
To provide the audience with a tour of the some of the python tools used for data analytics: iPython notebook, Pandas, Matplotlib and potentially upcoming SciPy tools: bokeh, blaze.
Description
The adoption of SciPy tools has seen an unprecedented increase recently in the industry because of its ability to run on potentially large data sets seen in real world environments and the interactivity of the recently developed tools being comparable to that of the proprietary counterparts.
In this session, we open some of the data sets and and interactively visualize the data for the purpose of fun and profit!
Speaker bio
The speaker has been working with Python for years and has always found SciPy tools interesting. Recently he learnt them and is pleased with what he found so far, which he can't wait to share.
