Objective
Learn how to write the Test Automation code for your Mobile Apps [ iPhone / Android ] with ease using Appium & Python (Selenium Webdriver bindings).
Description
We will be using an Open Source tool - Appium
https://github.com/appium/appium
to see how the Mobile Apps testing can be automated when used with Python.
- Why Mobile Apps Test Automation is needed?
- Who should do it?
- Do i need to learn any new programming language?
- Benefits over other Mobile Automation tool.
- Show me the code - using Python Webdriver binding
- If time permits, a live demo [or recorded] will be shown.
NOTE :
- Appium is nothing but extension to Selenium Webdriver for Native Mobile Apps.
- People familiar with Selenium would find it cake-walk to learn.
Requirements
- Would be good, if we can have this session after "Selenium Workshop".
- Know-how of Selenium Webdriver would be helpful as Appium tool itself relies on Webdriver & takes that concept forward for Mobile App testing.
