Description:
The mission of NumFOCUS is to promote sustainable high-level programming languages, open code development, and reproducible scientific research. We aim to increase collaboration and communication within the data science and scientific computing community. NumFOCUS is a 501(c)3 public charity in the United States.
An educational program of NumFOCUS. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The global PyData network promotes discussion of best practices, new approaches, and emerging technologies for data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. PyData communities approach data science using many languages, including (but not limited to) Python, Julia, and R.
Founded in October 2016 and it has been growing exponentially since then. PyData Delhi organises monthly meetups and annual data science conference where the typical attendance is ~80 and ~500 respectively. PyData Delhi is Asia's largest and 4th largest in the world among 147 chapters with 6800+ members on meetup.com.

Sanket Verma is Chair of PyData Delhi. He works as a Research Engineer @ Forensic Lab, Govt. of India and ML Engineer at a startup. Sanket Verma primary interests are in the field of Machine Learning and Computer Vision. In his free time, he likes to read sci-fi, fantasy, thriller and horror books. He's been an active part of the communities around Delhi-NCR and loves engaging with folks around him.
Raman Tehlan is an undergraduate student at SRM University, doing B Tech in Computer Science. His field of interest is Mathematics, Server-Side Technologies and Genetic Algorithms. He's currently a Software engineering intern at Timeless co, previously at Udacity and Knowalrity. He has created more than 20+ projects and love contributing to other open-source projects. He's also a core member of PyData Delhi and recently co-organized PyData Delhi Conference.
