GDG Cloud Chennai is the official and independent Google Developers Groups (GDG) Cloud chapter (community) in Chennai location, supported by Google Developers. We (GDG Cloud Chennai) have passionate individuals (from Developers to CTOs and System Admins to Data scientists) who primary focuses on Google Cloud & Open Source Cloud Technologies and related topics.

We are a young (approximately 1 year and 3 months) community in Chennai with 2,950+ passionate developers who love learning and sharing together. We have conducted 11 sessions and training events on niche technologies at no cost to attendees, through sponsorships from various companies. Event topics included Machine Learning, Kubernetes, Tensorflow, Cloud study jam, Certification guide, GraphQL, etc. We are growing at a steady rate of 6 developers per day with over 70+ developers having achieved various accomplishments. Developer accomplishments include, 4 certifications, 15 specializations and 20+ courses. We are passionate about sharing which reflects on our 170+ discussions, which include courses, competitions, scholarships, study material, contributions, news, etc.

I (Manikandan) organizer of GDG Cloud Chennai and volunteer in multiple Chennai communities. I am passionate about open source, open learning and knowledge sharing. I have 10+ years of IT experience, practising as Google Cloud Platform Architect for 2+ years and volunteering in communities for 3+ years. Reading is my habit and community engagements are my passion. According to me, community is the place of innovative learning with diversify competent people. I have taken session on community events and presented about GDG Cloud Chennai community on Google Cloud Next19 Global international conference.
