The current research areas on large language models (LLMs) are focused mostly on their ability to perform reasoning tasks using prompts. However, there remains a notable gap between LLMs' problem-solving capacity and human capabilities. Most existing approaches concentrate on chains of thought (COT), tree of thought, and tool usage, neglecting the incorporation of human cognitive frameworks. Humans employ diverse cognitive abilities and interact with tools, knowledge, and external information to tackle intricate reasoning challenges. This talk is focused on exploring LLM capabilities beyond tools. LLMs in some cases produce content that is meaningless or deviates from human value preferences, or even dangerous suggestions with high confidence; secondly, the knowledge of LLMs is limited to the concepts.

Can we think of or build such an ecosystem that can control the way we train these LMMs?

Key points: 1. Application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in Human Context 2. Considering who AI systems are for and how they can help in better human reasoning? 3. Creating AI that empowers human agency through various methods of human reasoning approaches. ( COT, Auto-CoT, Toolformer, OlaGPT, and beyond ). 4. Consistency analysis of the thinking templates. 5. Conclusion.
