In this demo-driven session, explore how to define and deploy cloud infrastructure as Python code with AWS CDK, why Kubernetes is important for Python developers and how deploying and managing a Kubernetes cluster can be done with AWS CDK and AWS CDK for Kubernetes (cdk8s). The session will break down the concepts behind infrastructure as code and explore how to manage Kubernetes applications/infrastructure with cdk8s. Finally, learn how to combine CDK and cdk8s in the same application to deploy your infrastructure (Amazon EKS cluster) and code (Kubernetes applications).

Prerequisites:

Attendees should be familiar with Python programming, using cloud services for app deployment and the basics of containers using Docker/Podman.
