Description:

This hands-on workshop aims to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to NNVisualiser, a Python package designed to visualise the inner workings of single-input single-output neural networks. Attendees will engage in practical sessions to learn how to effectively use NNVisualiser to visualise, understand and interpret the behaviour and structure of these neural networks. The workshop is tailored for researchers seeking to learn and build their understanding of neural network dynamics and enhance their capabilities in neural network analysis and explainability.

Workshop Outcomes:

  1. Knowledge of effective usage of NNVisualiser package
  2. Visual learning and understanding of inner workings of simple neural networks
  3. Better understanding of neural networks opens up research possibilities

Prerequisites:

  • Basic knowledge of Python and NumPy
  • Familiarity with training a simple neural network model using Keras

Speaker Info:

My name is Caxton Emerald S., and I am currently a PhD Research Scholar in Computer Science at Pondicherry University. My interests lie in AI, Neural Networks, and Physics. I authored the NeuralNetworkCoordinates and NNVisualiser Python packages along with my PhD Supervisor Dr. Vengattaraman T, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science in Pondicherry University. The packages are available on PyPI. My research focuses on understanding and visually explaining the inner workings of neural networks.
