Description:
In this talk, we’ll pull back the curtain and delve into the intricate world of building AI applications from the ground up, whether for a startup or an enterprise. Our focus will be on the backend development process, which extends far beyond simple ChatGPT implementations to encompass custom model development. We’ll explore the nuances of training, fine-tuning, and deploying these models at scale, ensuring they’re production-ready. We will rethink operations in the era of AI and computing, shining a spotlight on the pivotal role of GPUs and high-performance computing in scaling and accessing cutting-edge AI technologies. We will explore the entire lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and iterative improvement. Attendees will gain invaluable insights into managing the breakneck pace of development and the technological hurdles that arise when building advanced AI systems. This presentation is tailored for those seeking to master the essentials of backend architecture required for AI-driven innovation in startups and enterprises. In the dynamic AI landscape, time-to-market has become more critical than ever. This urgency, coupled with the complexities of building scalable, cost-effective AI applications, presents unique challenges and opportunities for developers and tech leaders alike.
Prerequisites:
General knowledge of machine learning & in particular large language models LLMs, & what it means to fine-tune a model Python coding will be standard - some previous exposure to Python decorators is helpful.
