Description:

The core of this talk delves into the transformative potential of cutting-edge AI techniques, such as Generative AI, Computer Vision, and more, to drive impactful solutions for sustainable practices, including re-using, recycling, and waste reduction. I intend to focus on constructing deep learning models for vision-based tasks. My objective is to utilize these models, to offer insightful information regarding the recyclability of an object based on its images. Additionally, I aim to deliver efficient suggestions for recycling and proper disposal methods using Large Language Models(LLM). This will aid in the effective sorting of waste materials. I also plan to employ LLMS to creat innovative product ideas that can be created using available waste materials. I will outline the steps to transform these ideas into reality and present visual representations of the finalized products using diffusion based image generation models.

Talk Outline:

  1. What is the research problem solved? Why it is a serious problem? Why it needs attention? (3 minutes)
  2. What is the motivation and genesis of problem statement ? (2 minutes)
  3. Introduction about Proposed Solution ( 2 minutes)
  4. Chatper 1: Green Recycling guide [Product Image ->DL model->Transformer model->recylablity,bio-degradability,dustbin colour-to-dispose] (3 minutes)
  5. Chapter 2: Eco-Sorting Assistant [Lump of waste->DL model-> segemented and sorted wate] ( 3 minutes)
  6. Chapter 3: Sustaniable guidance [Product->Transformer model-> more sustainable product] ( 3 minutes)
  7. Chatpter 4: Trash to Treasure [ List of trash products-> Trasformer model ->idea->diffusion model->product visulaisation] ( 3 minutes)
  8. Result analysis and conclusion ( Around 5 minutes)

Prerequisites:

  • Expertise:
    • Developers with just one year of experience in python
    • Even without any prior exposure to AI/ML, are welcome.
    • I'll make sure to clarify any technical terminology during my presentation which is why I'm emphasizing that prior ML experience is not required.
    • Interest in creating sustainable products using AI
