Goals of this talk are: 1. An understanding of Tor and TCP-based anonymisation (based on paper -Tor: The Second-Generation Onion Router) 2. Understand hidden services and rendezvouz points(ie, How to host a TCP service anonymously. TCP service is uniquely define by a two tuple Host IP, Service Port. How can one host this service without revealing this host IP? 3. if time permits: Cryptographic analysis(informal)

Prerequisites:
Soft prereq: 1. Diffie Hellmen key exchange 2. Basic computer networks, TCP /IP stack 3. a bit about TLS 4. symmetric and public key encryption
