Description:

I’m a front-end engineer turned product manager for a pre-seed startup called XapiX. I have worked at a corporate company, many pre-accelerator startups, a technical recruiting company, and now, I’m working for a Techstars graduate that is on the path to raising a seed round in October.

Questions we will address: What type of persons work at startups this ‘early’? What does a small company have to offer me? How did you get your job?

We will walk through: Startup stages - angel to series D The power of accelerators like Techstars/Y Combinator **The power of your network

Pitch: Working at a startup without funding requires a different mindset, far more so than a well-funded innovation lab or even Series A+. The fact is, you don’t have a safety net. So who chooses this path? We’ll walk through pros/cons, and how my background allowed me to level up quickly in a field I knew little about.
