This talk will introduce a library called newt. newt is mostly used to design terminal based UI(s) like in Anaconda. It is very simple to use.
This talk will introduce python-newt library with enough small examples. newt is a library to create terminal based UI applications like Anaconda. It is heavily used in Red Hat based distros.
In the first part of the talk, we will go through the demos of the UI parts and then we will see how one can write such code with very ease.
For the main example we will go through a project called boog which is a terminal based bugzilla client.
Someone who loves python. Wrote a small book on Python (http://fedorahosted.org/pym ), works in Red Hat as a Software Engineer. Contributed to many FOSS projects.
