DevOps for Openstack

Objective

Openstack has emerged as an broadly adopted open-source IaaS platform across enterprises & community. It is a collection of services which are developed and maintained as separate projects, which though facilitates the pace of Innovation( and Development), but at the same time also becomes a problem for operations & orchestration designers. This talk will focus on how to design orchestration so as to maintain pace of development whilst providing continuous feature deployment(s).

- Introduction to concepts of DevOps(5 Minutes), - Introduction to Openstack(5 Minutes), - Problem statement (10 Minutes), - The Orchestration design, - How Configuration-Management tools help. (10 Minutes) - Introduction to Opscode Chef. - Short Demo (10 Minutes)

Speaker bio

Mohit Sethi is Senior Engineer at HP India R&D. He has been involved building cutting-edge products across PaaS, IaaS & SaaS domain. Besides being a DevOps Enthusiast, he likes experimenting with programming languages. He has been working on Openstack for over an year.
